The Polish Chamber of Commercial Real Estate (PINK) is a partner of the Colliers report "ESG on the Construction Site" [premiere November 28, 2023]

The report "ESG on the construction site", created by Colliers experts, concerns the level of preparation the construction sector to implement the principles of sustainable development. The report is subjective in nature and contains a summary of the experiences of the largest construction companies in Poland and the results of a survey conducted among several dozen companies from across the sector.

The survey results show that contractors' employees who don't work on construction sites and hold senior positions are more likely to declare good knowledge of ESG issues. More than half of all respondents have heard about ESG but don't know the details, while more than 1/4 do not know at all, what does it involve – these are mainly people working on construction sites. 

Construction companies, like most other private entities and listed companies, will be subject to sustainability reporting requirements from 2024, and many organizations will be required to implement ESG principles into their operations. However, in this report, we address the topic of ESG from a more specific perspective. central business activities of construction and contracting companies, i.e. the implementation of projects on the construction site itself, without leaving its fence.
