THE PINK ASSOCIATION submitted comments on the draft regulation of the Minister of Development and Technology on the methodology for determining the energy performance of a building or part of a building and energy performance certificates.

In connection with public consultations conducted by the Ministry of Development and Technology Polish Chamber of Commercial Real Estate Association (PINK) submitted comments on the draft regulation on the methodology for determining the energy performance of a building or part of a building and energy performance certificates.

The project provides, among other things:
  • defining the methodology for determining energy performance based on standard use (Annex 1);
  • specification of the template for the building's energy performance certificate (Annex No. 2);
  • determining the template for the energy performance certificate for a part of a building (Annex No. 3);
  • introducing the obligation to use the hourly method to calculate energy demand for all types of buildings, with the exception of the monthly and hourly methods for residential buildings;
  • presentation of the building's energy performance in the form of energy performance classes on a scale from A+ to G:
    • the A+ scale characterizes the building or part of the building with the best energy performance properties;
    • The G scale indicates a building or part of a building with the worst energy performance.
  • extension of the energy standard assessment for each energy performance class in relation to two indicators for the demand for non-renewable primary energy EP and the annual demand for net delivered energy ED;
  • specifying the rules for calculating additional components of aerothermal, geothermal and hydrothermal final energy and including these components in the RES balance and share;
  • a change in the graphic form of energy performance certificates for buildings and parts of buildings, introduction of energy performance classes for buildings – annual demand for non-renewable primary energy EP, annual demand for net delivered energy ED, and a new way of presenting CO2 emissions was also defined.
