The Ministry of Development is working on a draft of the so-called "shielding act" in connection with the outbreak of coronavirus in Poland.

The proposed regulations are intended to improve the financial situation of entrepreneurs in the face of the planned introduction of a state of epidemiological threat (we will inform you immediately as soon as such a state is introduced).

It is planned to introduce solutions such as:

  • postponing the new Standard Audit File until July 1, 2020;

  • facilitating split payment;

  • previous VAT refunds;

  • deduction of losses from income "backwards" – the loss incurred this year can be deducted from income over the next five years;

  • guarantee support and loan subsidies;

  • extension of sickness benefit and care allowance to entrepreneurs on general principles.

Work is currently underway to expand the scope of such a law.

The draft law is scheduled to be published next week. The Ministry of Development plans for it to enter into force as soon as possible.
